6 Easy Hairstyles for Date Night

Your meeting ran late, the traffic on your commute was insane, and now, you have exactly 20 minutes before your date. Don’t panic. You’re going to look amazing. Here are six easy styles for date night.

Braided Headband

If you’re short on time, creating your own braided headband will elevate your look and add a romantic touch without needing to spend a lot of time on your hair. Just take a small section of hair from behind one ear and braid it. Pull it across your crown and pin it in place behind your other ear. The great thing about this style is you can make it as simple or complex as you’d like. If you only have a few minutes, you can be ready as soon as the braid is in place. But if you want to spend a little extra time, adding some loose waves will amp up this romantic style even more.

Twisted Buns

Lots of glam without lots of time? Yes, please! These twisted buns will give you a romantic yet glamorous vibe on your next date. Simply divide your hair into two sections and twist each side until you reach the center of the back of your head. Then, make each side into a bun just above the nape of your neck. Voila, you’re done and looking fabulous!

Beachy Waves

Beachy waves are always a great choice for date night, and they don’t take that long to create. Just spray on some heat protectant and use a large barrel curling iron to make loose waves. Brushing them out just a little will give you a natural, effortless look. That’s it! You’re ready to go. Add a chic barrette or tie on a pretty scarf if you want an extra touch.

Half-Up Bun

Looking for a fun and flirty style that won’t take tons of time and effort? A half-up bun could be just what you need. Use elastics and bobby pins to make a bun on top of your head, and leave the rest of your hair loose. Then, add hairspray to keep everything in place. This look works especially well if you have long, curly hair.

Romantic Braids

Loose braids always add a bit of romance to your look. If you’d like a casual, bohemian style for your next date, try romantic braids. The key here is to keep your braid looking loose and carefree. Start by creating a loose French braid from the top of your head to the nape of your neck. Tie it off with an elastic, and then turn your ponytail into a fishtail braid. Remember not to pull anything too tight. Tie the bottom with another elastic, then add a bow or ribbon over the elastic separating the top and bottom braids. Finally, use your fingers to gently loosen some sections to finish off your carefree style.

Pinned Back

Sometimes, all you need to create a date-worthy style is a few bobby pins or barrettes. This style works well if you have short hair, too. Put the focus on your face by pinning one or both sides of your hair back. Choose cute barrettes or add several bobby pins to let your personality shine through. This is a versatile choice for both curly and straight hair.
