Life in the Longsheng mountains is beautiful — but it’s not always easy. Behind the stunning landscapes and rich cultural traditions are real families, some of whom face very real challenges.
That’s why, as part of our Beautiful Reason Initiative, Viori has been quietly supporting the Families in Need program. Together with village heads and local volunteers, we work to identify families who are struggling, and offer practical, thoughtful support.
Sometimes it’s financial assistance to help cover urgent medical bills. Sometimes it’s daily essentials like warm clothing, blankets, or school supplies. In some cases, it’s helping a single elderly villager with no children or relatives nearby. The goal is simple: to listen carefully, respond respectfully, and lend a hand where it's truly needed.
We never assume we know best. Every case is discussed directly with the families and local leaders to understand what kind of help would actually make a difference. And because we keep the program small and personal, we’re able to make sure each gesture — no matter how modest — reaches the right hands.
This year, we’ve supported several families across different villages in Longsheng. Some stories are too personal to share here, but we can tell you this: your support of Viori bars helps make this possible. A portion of every purchase goes directly into these community projects — not just the visible ones like guesthouses or rice fields, but also the quiet work that happens behind the scenes, house by house, family by family.
