Romantic Updo
Meeting someone special after work and don’t have hours to prep? Go for a romantic updo. Let your hair air dry after your shower, then work in a curl-defining cream. Pull your hair up into a ponytail at the back of your head, and twist your hair into a bun. Add a few bobby pins to secure it, along with a quick spritz of hairspray, and you’re good to go.
High Pony
It doesn’t get any simpler than a high ponytail. Start by teasing your hair if you want extra volume. Then, pull your hair up into a high ponytail at the top of your head. Add bobby pins for extra security if needed. Pick out your hair and add leave-in conditioner or a curl-defining cream to create shiny, bouncy curls. That’s it! You’re ready to face the day!
Twisted Chignon
Looking for something more sophisticated? Try a twisted low chignon. First, you’ll need to separate your hair into three sections. Divide the front of your hair into two sections near the top of your head. The remaining back section will become a ponytail. Pin the front two sections out of the way, and make a low ponytail with the back section. Next, twist the first section of hair in the front, gathering more hair into the twist as you go until you reach the ponytail. Wrap it around the ponytail and pin it into place. Do the same on the other side. Finally, roll all the remaining hair into a chignon and add as many bobby pins as you need to keep it in place.
Side Braid
If you’re short on time, this is the style for you. It can be done in only one minute! Scrunch a wave-enhancing spray into your hair when you get out of the shower, and allow your hair to air dry. Part your hair and choose the side you’d like to braid. Begin in the front and braid back toward your crown. When you reach the back of your head, pin the braid in place, and pull a few layers of hair over the pins. So easy, yet so fabulous!
Half-Up Double Buns
For a fun and easy look, try half-up double buns. First, divide your hair into top and bottom sections. You’ll leave the bottom section loose. Next, divide the top section into two sides, and make each into a ponytail. Twist your hair around the ponytail to make a bun on each side, and add bobby pins to secure them in place. Work in some styling cream or add a spray of leave-in conditioner to the bottom half of your hair, and voila, you’re done!
Messy Bun
Messy buns are so easy to create and give you a relaxed, carefree vibe. Just pull your hair into a ponytail, wrap it loosely around to create a messy bun, and pin it into place with bobby pins. Pull out strands to frame your face, or let a few curls hang loose all over to increase the casual feel.
