How it works: Terabond reattaches broken disulfide bonds in damaged hair. Pure coconut oil and cocoa butter restore lipids that bleach and heat strip out. Longsheng rice water and hydrolyzed rice protein rebuild the fiber. No sulfates, so color holds.

1. Wet hair thoroughly with warm water.
2. Rub the bar between your palms or directly onto your scalp to build a lather.

I needed to wait till I could use this to leave a review, so far I LOVE IT! I have long thick hair that I haven't taken care of I work in a kitchen so my hair is always tied up or in a braid, lots of breakage and overall damage. Since I've been using this bar I can run my fingers through my hair and it not tangle. And I've noticed that my scalp and hair doesn't get as greasy after a few days like it used to. I love the shampoo bar doesn't take up much room, I can buy several and store them easily. Using in the shower is very easy , get it wet and scrub through my hair. It leaves my hair feeling clean. It's not heavy, meaning my hair doesn't feel like it has product or residue left. I just wish it lasted a little longer. Bleach, heat, color, tight styles, hard water, age. Different causes, same result — hair that feels like straw and breaks when you touch it.
Bleach and heat lift the cuticle and it does not close back up. Once the strand is porous it loses moisture faster than you can put it back, and every wash starts from a deficit.
Most conditioners coat the outside with silicone so hair feels soft in the shower and goes right back to brittle by day two. Nothing actually reaches the strand.

Coconut oil is one of the few oils small enough to absorb into the strand instead of sitting on the surface, which is why it reduces protein loss in hair that bleach, heat or tension has already opened up. Paired with Longsheng rice water — inositol plus fermentation amino acids — it treats the inside of the strand while a gentle surfactant system handles the outside. There are no sulfates to strip what is left and no silicone to fake the softness. Bleached, coily, gray, heat-damaged, hard-water damaged: the cause differs, the fix is the same. Most oils sit on the surface of the hair fiber and rinse away. Coconut oil's molecular structure gives it a natural affinity for hair proteins, allowing it to move into the cortex rather than rest on top of the cuticle. In bleached and thermally damaged hair — the kind that has been through bleach, color or regular heat styling — studies suggest coconut oil reaches further into the fiber than some other plant oils, and that its presence during washing may help limit the protein loss that leads to mid-length breakage. Hydrolyzed rice protein is rice protein broken down into peptides small enough to pass through the cuticle and reach the cortex, where color-processed hair has lost structural integrity. Larger, unhydrolyzed proteins can't get past the cuticle and simply accumulate on the surface, adding temporary slip but no internal support. Because hydrolyzed rice protein is drawn toward the most porous sections of the fiber — typically the lengths and ends that have seen the most heat and color — it tends to settle where breakage is most likely, helping reduce future breakage and improve elasticity where the hair needs it most. Every time hair gets wet, the fiber swells — and repeated swelling cycles place mechanical stress on color-treated hair, contributing to the kind of dullness that makes color look faded before its time. Coconut oil inside the cortex may help limit how much the fiber swells during washing, which research suggests is connected to how well hair holds its tensile strength over time.
