Coconut Oil Repair Conditioner Bar – Damaged Hair | VIORI
Who it's for: Severely damaged, bleached, over-processed or heat-damaged ends. Dry coily and curly hair that needs the heaviest moisture available.
What it does: Deep-repairs and deep-conditions the ends — the most concentrated moisture and bond repair we make.
How it works: Terabond reattaches broken bonds. Coconut oil, cocoa butter and shea butter rebuild the lipid layer. Hydrolyzed rice protein bonds into porous, damaged sections so the ends stop snapping.
What it feels like: Very rich. Wet hair goes slippery immediately and detangles in one pass. Dries soft, weighted and smooth.
Scent: Warm coconut — the same as the shampoo bar.
How to use: Every wash, mid-lengths to ends. Leave on three to five minutes on very damaged hair.

I needed to wait till I could use this to leave a review, so far I LOVE IT! I have long thick hair that I haven't taken care of I work in a kitchen so my hair is always tied up or in a braid, lots of breakage and overall damage. Since I've been using this bar I can run my fingers through my hair and it not tangle. And I've noticed that my scalp and hair doesn't get as greasy after a few days like it used to. I love the shampoo bar doesn't take up much room, I can buy several and store them easily. Using in the shower is very easy , get it wet and scrub through my hair. It leaves my hair feeling clean. It's not heavy, meaning my hair doesn't feel like it has product or residue left. I just wish it lasted a little longer. Ends are the oldest part of your hair and they have taken every wash, hot tool and color service you have ever done. This is the richest bar in the line: coconut oil small enough to absorb into the strand, plant butters heavy enough to stay put through the day, and Longsheng rice water carrying amino acids and hydrolyzed rice protein into the shaft. No silicone, so the softness is not a coating that rinses down the drain. Work it from the mid-lengths down, leave it a minute, rinse. Detangling gets easier first, and the short broken pieces on your shoulders start to thin out from there.

Most oils sit on the surface of the hair fiber and rinse away. Coconut oil's molecular structure gives it a natural affinity for hair proteins, allowing it to move into the cortex rather than rest on top of the cuticle. In bleached and thermally damaged hair — the kind that has been through bleach, color or regular heat styling — studies suggest coconut oil reaches further into the fiber than some other plant oils, and that its presence during washing may help limit the protein loss that leads to mid-length breakage. Hydrolyzed rice protein is rice protein broken down into peptides small enough to pass through the cuticle and reach the cortex, where color-processed hair has lost structural integrity. Larger, unhydrolyzed proteins can't get past the cuticle and simply accumulate on the surface, adding temporary slip but no internal support. Because hydrolyzed rice protein is drawn toward the most porous sections of the fiber — typically the lengths and ends that have seen the most heat and color — it tends to settle where breakage is most likely, helping reduce future breakage and improve elasticity where the hair needs it most. Every time hair gets wet, the fiber swells — and repeated swelling cycles place mechanical stress on color-treated hair, contributing to the kind of dullness that makes color look faded before its time. Coconut oil inside the cortex may help limit how much the fiber swells during washing, which research suggests is connected to how well hair holds its tensile strength over time.
